Jeff Scholl is a CT based commercial product, still life and fine art photographer with over 30 years of experience in commercial, industrial, medical, portrait/publicity photography.

Jeff’s curiosity with all forms of lighting, textures and details keeps him enthralled with the process of creating high level results for clients and continually striving to achieve ‘tactile lighting’ in every photograph.

Jeff’s personality is easygoing and engaging and he thrives in a communal, flexible, productive and creative environment. Coffee, collaboration, laughter and biscotti go hand-in-hand with outstanding photography.

Jeff’s passion for teaching and learning all aspects of photography began in the 1980’s as a Technical Representative and Nikon School Instructor for Nikon, Inc. and persists unabated to this day. Black and white large format film photography resonates deeply with Jeff as he explores this powerful and beautiful analog process to satisfy his unquenchable curiosity and relentless pursuit of ‘quiet light’.

‘All things analog’ remains a fascinating and rewarding personal journey having yielded many personal discoveries over the past several decades. And it continues…

When not creating in the studio or baking biscotti in the kitchen, Jeff tends to gravitate to the outdoors, enjoying all the sensations of our natural world. While his world revolves around his family, he has been known to frequently venture into the woods in pursuit of wild mushrooms to photograph. When not hiking for fungi, flora or fauna, he may be involved in yet another intriguing home improvement project or volunteer opportunity.
